        The Groomer
                     Welcome
        "The Groomer" -- Becky Dwinell
Providing all breed dog & cat grooming services to  Minden/Gardnerville and surrounding areas

With so many salons in town, why am I the right groomer for you?
        • I am not a mass production shop.
I provide one on one care for your pet(s) and usually start working on them within minutes of their arrival.  Your pets do not have to spend all day with me.  A typical appointment usually lasts one to three hours depending on breed, coat condition and temperament.
        • Experience.
I have over eight years experience grooming, with the first six of them in a high volume shop.  That early experience provided me the opportunity to handle many different breeds of dogs and cats with varying temperaments.
        • No drugs or sedation.
I do not use sedatives or any forms of drugs on the pets that I groom.  I will strongly discourage an owner from bringing an animal to me under the influence of sedatives.  I like to see the pet in its natural state so that I can accurately assess its behavior.  If an animal needs to be heavily sedated, it will get a referral to a veterinary hospital where it can be medically monitored.
        • Affordable.
I'm not the cheapest game in town but I believe that you will find my prices both reasonable and affordable for the quality of care your pet receives.
        • Veterinarian Recommended.
I think this speaks for itself.  Vets don't like to sedate cats if they don't have to.   It's important to know that there are groomers out there that can handle them properly and safely.  That's where I come in.

What are the benefits to a single groomer salon environment?
        • Decreased stress for you and your pet.
Studies have proven that chronic loud noise over time creates a stress response in animals and humans.  Your pet will be exposed to a minimal amount of loud noise during their stay which occurs for a brief time during the drying process.  High volume shops often have their dryers running for hours on end which can leave your pet frazzled and stressed when they return home.

        • The same groomer for every visit.
Consistency is important.  I feel that building a trusting relationship between groomer, owner and pet is essential for you and your pet to get the maximum benefits of the grooming experience. As a sole proprietor, you will always have the same groomer for every visit.
